Review: Worst prequel to The Wizard of Oz. It begins in 1905 with James Franco (seriously Miscast) plays a cheater / magician who works in a carnival breakdown. Through circumstances too stupid to connect it gets taken to the land of Oz. There he finds three sisters who see everything in - Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams). They are waiting for a magician to come to help them defeat the evil witch. They also throw in a comic Flying Monkey and a small doll made of porcelain - that walks and talks on the screen begins course. It WEAK l and b & w, and (when it hits Oz) wide screen opens and starts to color. It looks great - bright colors and hyper special effects are great - but what about this. History is slow, long and boring. There are many gaps in logic, comedy is horrible and if that contains these beautiful little life lessons that appear in every movie Disney. These messages are so tough even the kids will probably find them obvious and stupid. Furthermore, due to copyright issues, Disney had to change something in the film. No ruby ââslippers and scary flying monkeys from the original baboons not now fly goofy-looking. Acting does not help. Franco tries to be charming and sweet, but the impression of unpleasant and stupid. Williams has nothing to work with, Weiss (reckless) downplays his role and Kunis is empty. I was bored crazy and could not wait for the movie to end. Kids might like it, but I hated it. 3. |
