Review: I'm not saying the first film Smurfs movie was brilliant, but it was at least reasonable. Smurfs 2, for an adult, is painfully boring. My kids (ages 9 and 5) liked it, so I think it's fine for the younger children. But honestly, I've seen a lot of kids movies in the past, and there is usually at least an element of humor in it that adults can enjoy and appreciate too.That is not the case here. The plot feels stretched and forced. The humor revolves largely on sight gags and jokes of farting, or implied nudity Oh look, I fall and crash into something range. Although this is done with good effect in Shrek, it was embarrassing bad here. The cat Azrael a major role in this, but it came across as annoying to most Even in all, an okay movie for younger children, but adults, be prepared to get out of your mind to get tired of it! |
