Review: I had the pleasure to attend the world premiere of the first night of Scenic Route Austins SXSW festival. This exciting powerful drama was very well received by the crowd. The film was well-written and well-acted. This is the story of two thirty-something guys who formerly close friends, but differed in recent years, because they were trying to find ourselves as adults. Both men apparently lost confidence long before their truck breaks down in the desert. The story could have easily been cliché?? Ee D, but they fight for survival against the elements is a journey, and self-rediscovery. They will rotate against each other, facing the demons of his awkward deeply concerned selves.Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler show new depth as participants in this movie. Kyle Killens scenario is much better if it is deeply flawed script beaver. The only drawback seems to be one of the unnecessary flashback scene that captures the viewer's harsh dry desert, which has itself become a character in the film. Though he never said how it is installed, the credits reveal that it was filmed in California's Death Valley. Q & A molded clear how difficult it was to shoot the wind, and extreme temperatures of the desert. Dramatic Journey Scenic Route compelling and entrancing. While the film may be difficult to understand at times and is definitely too dark for some viewers, his physical and spiritual journey of desert grabs. I recommend the film to all viewers who want to challenge the dark and disturbing journey. I really hope the Scenic Route is more common, so it can be viewed in a wider audience. |
