Review: Why I want to write over 234 Shawshank Redemption comment? I'm not sure - almost everything that can possibly be said about what is being said. But, like so many others who wrote reviews, I was and am deeply moved by this simple and eloquent description of hope and friendship and redemption. The only other film I've seen it affect me as strongly is To Kill a Mockingbird. Two films leave me feeling cleaner to have watched them.It not intend to see this movie at all I do not like prison movies and I usually do not watch them. I work in a branch library, and one day I was checking Shawshank Redemption that one of our old customers, she said to me, when g down or feel depressed, I check out this video and watch it and it always makes me feel better. At the time I thought it was very strange. One day there was nothing on TV, except that I absolutely will not watch under any circumstances or things that I had seen many times now, when . I remembered what she said, so I watched it. I've watched it many many times since then, and it gets better with every action there is showing. No rstök effect - are only men in prison uniforms talking to each other. The Shawshank Redemption and To Kill a Mockingbird best movies I've seen. I do not judge it by the technical merits - I do not care about it. I've read that Citizen Kane or Godfather or this or that movie is the best movie ever. They may have the best technology or being the most influential motion pictures ever made, but not the best. The best films are those that touch the soul. It takes a movie like The Shawshank Redemption touch the soul. |
