Review: Many people complain that this film too slow, but this is the kind of people who just want 80 minutes splatter movies and characters so stupid and one-sided, you can apply for a bad guy to kill. Performing this monster is both beautiful and bold. It has characters' and not just LAME brains ready for slaughter. It has class and purpose. He takes viewers dark corners of humanity and then brings them back with a message of hope and commitment. The film is not anti-religion, anti-evil. Anyone who likes smart, clever, mean horror-drama should see this movie at least twice. It is amazing and surprisingly touching powerful.That said, the cast deserves a hand for their great performance. Ellen Burstyn brings the full power of the mother the night of the tragedy, Max von Sydow is frighteningly perfect as beam storys, Jason Miller embodies the sorrow of one failure, and Linda Blair is far above average even at her young age. Again, see this movie. You just forget. |
