Review: I'm unfortunately not one of the faithful Chuck Palahniuk readers who have read the book before you see the movie. I, however, could not wait to read the book after seeing the movie. Ive read the book five times since and seen the movie more than I can remember. Simply put, this movie changed my life. Not only on a personal level (which I am not here to comment, except to say Im now head Palahniuk fan), but also as a movie patron. I have a different view after seeing films this movie, because it broke down the doors. This movie is literally the first time I've ever been on something that at first glance looks incredibly stylish, contemporary and entertaining. plot attracted you before turning you upside down, the acting was nothing short of perfect (has there ever the character more memorable than Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden?), music, screenplay (based on what is now my all-time favorite book) lighting, pace, everything! Almost everything about this movie surprised me, except for one person. David Fincher, the director, perhaps the only reason I saw this movie in the first place. His work on Saba and game me excited to see what he wanted to do, but I came to this movie expecting a delicate film that offered a good plot and maybe some good acting, but what you got was so much, much more. Honestly, how many times have you seen movies that, despite looking, it becomes even more complicated yet so simple that you can not help but laugh. Every time I watch this film I see something new about it is the depth of the screen. Then there's the matter little stories Club Fight, written and Chuck Palahniuk (who was one of the ideas fertile around me believe. Read survivor and right!) Story is nothing short of amazing, pure shock value social commentary on the state of the world at the end of the century. You will cry, you will laugh, you will make every clich s? But most importantly you will realize with every single word on the screen. This movie rates as one of the all time favorite movies and, simply put, if you have not seen it yet stop wasting your time online and video stores around! 5/5
