Like all movies based on a true story incidents ad people were compressed for dramatic purposes. But the overall story is true. Benedict Cumberbatch gets Assanges preening narcissism and paranoia perfectly lit. He is especially versatile in the scene where Assange says lies just to review them when the truth surfaced. Visually rich and very exciting, is quite unlike anything Bill Condon did before. This is a style DRAM Alan J. Pakula brought up to date, with extremely flashy graphics and a breathless pace to match its main characters seemingly unstoppable machine. Edward Snowden, who was in contact with Assange at one point, is not mentioned. But Bradley (now Chelsea) Manning certainly is. I hope Condon plans to form a film making Manning the future because hes Definitely director.
